4th of July weekend

We had so much fun while Jessica and Parker were visiting!

We made a trip to the Wild Wilderness Safari in Gentry.

No matter how many times we go to this place, we ALWAYS have a fantastic time!

The peacocks are free range and I love when they open their feathers!

We were lucky to be able to feed the giraffes!

Baby kittens are my absolute FAVORITE!

There were so many baby animals during our visit this time.

The emus kill me every time!

Someone was feeding the prairie dogs some Cheeto puffs!

We have so much fun, even trips to Walmart!

We had fresh corn for dinner one night and we had all of the kids shuck it!

Saturday morning, we headed to the square for one of our favorite 4th of July traditions - the bike parade!

We hope Parker will join in on the ride next year!

I haven't did much this week except try to get back in the swing of things.

Being sick really put me in a bad funk.

I've been moody and emotional and just not myself.

Yesterday, the temperature was 80 degrees and I put a lot of effort into my appearance. I really think those two things worked wonders for me!

I upgraded my phone this week. The phone I had was my first smartphone that I got two years ago. I had a pay as you go phone before that (and a house phone.) I finally got a beautiful iPhone 5S!

I am in love with it!

I facetimed with Jessica and Parker last night and I'm thrilled with a having a great camera in my hand at all times!

I already got some apps that I had been bookmarking for photos for when I got this phone!

 These beautiful tulips in our yard make me so happy!

 We took the kids to a trail last night to enjoy the weather, have some family time, and let them practice riding their bikes! This trail is 2 miles and they did the whole thing on their bikes!!!

Happy Friday & exciting news!

Happy, happy Friday!!!! Our spring break starts now! Woohoo! Except boo on how cold the weather is next week!  *****see bottom of the post for a very important video of B Boy!

One of my favorite bloggers and fellow Arkansan, Karen, featured me on her blog today and I had no idea she was doing that! I think it is so great that she has been featuring some of her favorite blogs! We should all do more to say good things about each other- the world would be a much happier place! Karen lives in south Arkansas and I love reading her blog. I really love watching her vlogs because I love that south AR accent!

Her doing the features made me start thinking about some of my favorite blogs:

I ran to the library after doing some weekly volunteer work this morning so that I could order Florida Georgia Line tickets when they went on sale at 10am! I'm SO EXCITED to be going with my bestie!!!!! I love their music and the icing on the cake is that Nelly is with them. I know it doesn't sound very Christian-like, but I LOVED Nelly in college. 

I met my friends, April and Jenn for lunch and pedicures today. It was SO relaxing and awesome! They are some sweet, sweet friends and they are my NWA link to back home. We all grew up in the same area and Jenn was in my graduating class.

I am so glad spring is here. I actually enjoyed weeding our landscaping yesterday! We are laying new mulch and getting things cleaned up. I'm also finally bringing spring decor down from the attic!

March Madness has been INSANE already! So many upsets are killing everyone's brackets. C Girl is currently leading our competition- so funny!

And some BIG news------  Braden learned how to ride his bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are thrilled! C Girl is making great progress too!
