Book list 2014

I read some really great books in 2014. I can't believe I read 53 books! That is close to the cannonball read I did in 2009/2010! I've already gotten a good start on my reading for this year! I can't wait to see if I can surpass 2014!

      Yes, I did read them. I am well aware that people have very strong opinions on these books. I had an interest to know what the hype was about from both sides of the argument. It actually has a very beautiful love story in it.

      This is a comment I found from a post about the book and I share this opinion:
      I am a Christian, and I think it’s worth noting that just because you read the book, it doesn't mean you are going to do unholy things with your body or with your significant other. You can read it and take the story for a grain of salt – just like any other book. The Hunger Games discusses violence and the killing of children. Those are obviously sins too, but I don’t recall anyone being up in arms about that book. When all is said and done, it’s just a book. The way people choose to react to it is, of course, up to them and will say a lot about their character. Personally, I am confident enough in my beliefs and Christianity to not be “affected” by the book the way others claim to be. My husband and I are perfectly happy and our relationship has not benefited or suffered as a result of the book. And neither has my relationship with God. I do think it’s unfair for you to pass judgment on those who may be interested in reading it, because you shouldn't assume that everyone will immediately start becoming sinful.

    Thanks for th book list!! I'm always looking for new and interesting books to read. A book I read in 2014 that you might love is " Whistling Past the Graveyard" by Susan Crandall. So, so good!! If you liked th Help you will love this book!!! I was hooked from the first page! Happy reading!!

    Ok I commented but it ate it. Anyway I love that you read so much and I need to read more too! I really enjoyed Shopaholic and Something Borrowed and like books of that nature. If you like those type, you'll love Marian Keyes. She's really great. I love books set in England/Ireland. Such fun!

    I am amazed, lady! that's a lot of reading!! Bravo! I must be a slow reader, ha! I actually just finished Gone Girl, and did not like the ending - did you? now I want to see the movie. I hate that I can dedicate an hour or more on my phone/laptop, but for some reason, I can't sit down to read a book - isn't that weird. I wish I could. Maybe I'll make that a new goal. Because I really do get a satisfaction of finishing one. LOL :)

      I did not like the ending either. I loved the movie!!! The book was so suspenseful and good even though the ending was hard to swallow.
