Friday, Friday

I'm linking up to Kelly's Korner for Show us Your Life-----Favorite Vacation Spot

Probably one of our most favorite vacations was our trip to Washington D.C. in the summer of 2004.
This was before the kiddos came along so it was just Tim and I.  It was an amazing trip.  I am so looking forward to taking our kiddos there someday.

I wish I remembered the names of all the restaurants we ate at.  There are SO many to choose from.  We ate at a great Indian place, we ate at a neat bookstore on DuPont Circle, Kramer Books and we ate at other places that I just don't remember!

My husband and I hopped on the metro and just got off at different stops and checked out the city.  It was one of the most awesome things we have ever done! We visited Chinatown, we took a nighttime tour of the city, we visited the U.S. Capitol and the House of Representatives.  We went to the top of the Washington Memorial, we stood in front of the White House gates, we visited all of the famous memorials- WWII, Lincoln, Jefferson, Vietnam Wall, etc.

Washington D.C. has so much history and things to do.  There are so many things that I want to do still next time we go back!  I highly recommend it for a great family vacation!
