Cannonball Read- Book 35

Jenny Sanford is the former First Lady of South Carolina.  She was married to Mark Sanford who was a Congressman and is governor of South Carolina.  He was discovered to be having an affair with a woman from Argentina and this book is a memoir of their marriage and how she stayed true to herself and children in the aftermath of this affair.  It was very uplifting to read about and see how her faith in God brought her through one of the hardest times in her life.  In the book, she talks about her children being her greatest legacy and that really spoke to me.  The book also talks about how her former husband dealt with aging and how she chose to embrace it and adapt.  She had great influences in her parents and both sets of grandparents.  These people really shaped the person she had become.  I hope that I help to shape my kids in faith and happiness and all the things that life can throw at us.  There will always be good times and bad times but it's true that we must "stay true" to ourselves and what we believe in.
