So, I am so into nature and weather and all of that jazz.
I love to get up for meteor showers and anything else neat in the night sky.
So, of course, I had to set my alarm for 1:45 am last night to see the blood moon.
I am so incoherent in the middle of the night. I was stumbling all around until I woke up enough to function. As I stepped out to initially find the moon, a shooting star lit the sky! Shooting stars are one of my favorite things ever!
I did not plan out the photography process beforehand, so the early part of the eclipse did not get captured. I finally put my telephoto zoom lens on and got some halfway decent pictures of the moon in total eclipse. It also had the "Japanese Lantern Effect" going on.
These photos were probably taken between 2:45 and 3:10 am. I loved how big Mars was as well. I know that people with telescopes could see Saturn's rings last night and it really had me wishing that I had a telescope!
So, in conclusion, I am very tired today.
But, I loved getting to witness this awesome astronomical event!
