the first few days of the new year

Well, we are four days into the new year.  Seems kind of crazy!
It's been a great year so far!
C Girl invited some friends from church over for a play-date on the 2nd.  I had four 2nd grade girls, a kindergartner, and two almost 5 yo twins in my home playing!
They had tons of fun!
While she had friends over, Tim and B boy had a guys day!  They went bowling, to McDonald's and to get ice cream!
The next day, B boy was invited to have lunch and play with a friend at Chick-fil-a.  He had a blast and I had fun catching up with the friend's mom!!!
While we were at CFA, Tim took C Girl to get frozen yogurt!
When everyone got home from having fun, we started the big task of taking down the Christmas decorations.  It always makes me sad and makes the house look so bare!
Today, we ventured out to go ice skating before we get some really cold weather.
Our wind chill could be -23 on Monday.
That is nuts!
We all had a good time!  I will be so ready when they finally completely learn to skate on their own!
Interestingly, ice skating seemed a lot easier than roller skating a few weeks ago.
I don't know why, but ice skating always seem to be like that.

  1. Oh wow! I love how organized your Christmas decorations are when put away! Ours is a nightmare, so I am thoroughly jealous. :o)

    You have a lovely family.

    1. Thank you :) We took some extra time this year to organize because ours is usually a jumbled mess!
