a party & a conference

I literally have not felt like blogging because my brain has too much stuff in it and I don't know how to sort it all out right now. Maybe not be so busy? It seems like Tim's job has had lots of night events lately and I have had quite a few night events as well. Some of them are baby showers and such that don't have very often, but they are happening with all of this other busy-ness right now.

My brain tends to shut down when I'm tired or have too much information. I've also been reading a lot lately, thus adding more stuff to my poor brain! I need a vacation!!!

Sooooo, even though I have deep thoughts I want to share, I think right now, I'm just going to share about the last week.

My kiddos went back to school last Wednesday and I was able to go to lunch with a friend. We went to Chuy's. It was her first time and she loved it. I had the Baja shrimp tacos and they were amazing. Love that place.

Thursday, I spent the day cleaning the house and getting it back in order after the snow days.

Friday, I spent getting things ready and packing for me to be gone to a women's conference with ladies from my church.
C Girl had a party at church Friday night Girls in Action (GA's) turns 100 this year, so they had pizza, cupcakes, games and missions activities. She had a blast was just so super excited that she got to stay out until 9:30!!! But hey, even I don't stay out that late much anymore!

I rode with some friends for our trip to Little Rock Friday evening. We met another group that was also traveling down and we all had dinner at Abuelo's. I had fajita tacos and they were delicious!
We had fun conversation on the way down and finally made it to LR around 11pm. We checked in and went up to our rooms. I was sharing a room with 3 other friends from church.
We all started getting ready for bed, but then we started talking. And then, my friend Jenn wanted to play a game where we told 3 things about ourselves that they might not know. We had such a blast. We stayed up waaaaaay too late!!!

Saturday morning, we got up bright and early to get ready and leave for the conference. There were so many great sessions and speakers. Four or five ladies from our church were helping lead sessions and helping with the conference. I have a lot of thoughts on things I heard/learned but that will have to wait until I have more time to write and think.

We drove home Saturday afternoon/evening. We all stopped at Marketplace for dinner and then I rode with one of my friends who had to drive down solo on Friday because she was helping set things up for the conference. We had a fun time talking on the way home.
I was glad to be back home to my bed! I had to miss an hour of sleep, but wasn't it so nice to have that sunlight in the evening???!!!

We went to church Sunday morning and then did some furniture shopping that afternoon! I bought a new "chair and a half" that is being delivered on Friday! I can't wait to have my own comfy spot in the living room!

Yesterday, I had to catch up on a ton of stuff at home and then after school we met April and Ryan at a park. It was GORGEOUS yesterday. I was so happy to sit in the sun and enjoy the day!

Today is busy Tuesday! We also have a P/T conference for C and a spirit night at CFA tonight, so we will have a fun evening. I wish Tim didn't have to go to a board meeting :-( It is going to be almost 80 degrees today, so I will have to fit some outside time in there somewhere!

I hope the weather is beautiful where you are!

 100 years of GA's!!!
The ladies from our church who went to the conference (minus a few who had already left).

  1. You are the third blogger (in three states) to mention Chuy's in a post I read tonight! Going to have to find me one to try.
