So, last week was Spring break. It was good and disappointing at the same time.
I don't even know how that is possible, but it is what it is.
It was disappointing because of the WEATHER. I know I'm not the only one mad at the weather right now. I keep seeing everyone complaining about it, so I don't feel bad in the least for complaining about it. It was cold and it snowed on Spring break.
That is just not right, y'all.
ANYWAYS. We did have fun. Fun things we did: we went to Kansas City. While we there, we visited Legoland and did a lot of driving downtown. I love the "historic-ness" of KC. The buildings and bridges and murals make me happy!
We had a play-date with friends from church, we had a great dentist appointment, we watched March Madness (so much madness this year!), we painted finger nails, we watched Zero Dark Thirty, I went 4 days without even once looking at Facebook(!!!), we colored in coloring books, we cooked country style ribs and corned beef, we watched birds eat out of our bird feeder and got mad at the black birds for monopolizing the food, both kiddos got a hair trim, we checked out the new grocery store in town, we got info about the start of tee ball season (practice starts today!), we visited the new Marshall's and Home Goods, we read a lot, we started giving the kids an allowance, we finally started hanging stuff on the walls of the new house, we dyed Easter eggs, we went to church for Palm Sunday, and we had a dinner party with two of Tim's co-workers last night.
So here are some pictures to prove that we did indeed have fun on Spring break :-)
Legoland looks like SO much fun! My kids would love it there. And your eggs turned out pretty!
