High Above
Written and dedicated to Rheba Sparacino by Tim Sparacino on October 5th, 2010.
Mom wanted her ashes spread into the wind on Petit Jean Mountain.
As the sun set on October 4th, 2010, our family held a private memorial service at a location on Petti Jean that looks down upon the Arkansas River Valley where Mom was born and spent most of her life.
This song is a reflection of my thoughts during that ceremony, Mom’s life, and the tremendous joy and love that she brought to all of us.
Goodbye, Mom…until we meet again.
High Above…The River Valley
High Above…Our earthly cares
Sent with love On this sad day
'til we meet again up there.
She lived her life in that valley
She brought us joy, hope, and love.
She was the rock of our family.
Now she rests High Above
High Above…The River Valley
High Above…Our earthly cares
Sent with love On this sad day
'til we meet again up there.
As we look down on the valley.
We think of her and miss her love.
The sun sinks low on this sad day.
But our hope soars High Above.
High Above…The River Valley
High Above…Our earthly cares
Sent with love On this sad day
'til we meet again up there.
She was the rock of our family.
Now she rests, high above.
