Wonderful Weekend

That is what is was.  Living so far from our family is so new to us.  Instead of just popping in to visit, we now have guests come and spend the weekend! 

Friday, I drove and met Tim's sister halfway to pick up his mom who came to stay the entire weekend.  Since we have received the news about her health, we are wanting to spend as much time as possible with her.  The kids had a wonderful time just getting to hang out with their Nan. 

Saturday, we had a visit from my good friend Amber.  Her and I went to high school and church together.  She has 3 kiddos ages 8, 6, and 20 mos.  She also brought some hand me downs from her two older kiddos for my kiddos.  We are so thankful to anyone who has given us clothes.  It has been such a blessing to not have to buy hardly any clothes for these kids!

On Sunday, Keith and Jessica came to spend the night with us.  The kids were excited about more! guests!  We all had a great time and had good food all weekend.  Jessica and I got to spend some time doing one of our favorite things, shopping!  We also had a great game of Phase 10 on Sunday night!  I miss these two so much!  I was so used to Jessica coming over at least a couple of times a week.  We just have to make the most of our visits now!

The girl also had a big development happen this weekend!  We had corn on the cob on Sunday for dinner.  After she took a bite of her corn, she started crying and freaking out.  We thought she had burned her tongue.  Upon further inspection, we saw that she has her first loose tooth!  It is so loose right now so it should be coming out in a few days!  I can't believe she is hitting this milestone already.  It seems like just yesterday those baby teeth were coming in on the bottom...

We also learned that C's former baton teacher had her baby on Labor Day!  C was sooo excited and loved seeing the picture of the baby!  Congrats Ms. Cassey!

Alas, the weekend had to end and everyone went home yesterday afternoon.  We had a relaxing evening all watching football on the couch.  But, today it's back to work!
