I read your blog every chance I get. I have Chrons disease and I have had it for 24 years. I have had my up and downs with it. I am working full time babysitting. I mentioned this because I wanted to let you know that God is in control through all of this. It isn't always easy, but with God's Love unfailing mercy and grace I am able to lead a fulfilling life. I enjoy every moment and everyday I have. I want to give you encouragement and whatever I can do or say to help I will be happy to do so. You are not alone in this season. I have great insurance, great doctors, and I am surrounded with a unbelievable group of supporting friends and family and church family which I am so grateful for. I hope I have helped. Sincerely Laura MathewsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9203883069271986982.post-21723709147349583212014-12-19T14:18:48.347-06:002014-12-19T14:18:48.347-06:00I have Crohn's disease of the lower intestine,...I have Crohn's disease of the lower intestine, also called ulcerative colitis. I was diagnosed 16 years ago when my oldest was very young. While it is kind of a scary diagnosis, you can still live a very full life. You'll learn your new normal quickly--just take the meds that are prescribed to you, even when you are feeling better. You will also learn what you can and can't eat. Some foods will trigger flares, so be strong and say no even when you're tempted to cave and eat those things. It will be okay--aside from taking my meds and managing my diet, there are days when I hardly give my Crohn's a second thought. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
